Last Days in Thailand

The ferry from Lanta to Phuket is actually two boats, with a transfer in Phi Phi.  Unless they are working on Island Time and leave late (which all the boats seem to do), but they still want to transfer the passengers and gear to the second boat.  Our crew performed a strange maneuver whereupon the Phi Phi to Phuket ferry had already departed, and we stopped them outside the harbor, rafted up, and tumbled across the gap to board the second ferry.  A bit madcap, but made it!

Back on Phuket we stayed at a third location – Nai Yang Beach.  It’s on the northwestern end of the island.  It may well have been our favorite.  Very laid back village feel, casual restaurants and massage places, and a nice beach.  We only had a day there, but we made the most of it.  Enjoyed a final Thai meal, a last Thai massage (very Rolfing-esque!), and took and dawn dip in the sea.
