Love Padlocks


While on the train passing through Cologne, I noticed padlocks adorning the bridge.  Here in Heidelberg I saw them again.  I looked closer and saw the engraving.  Wikipedia supplied the background:

    Those were all over the Ponte Vecchio in Firenze when we were there 9 years ago -- http://www.pbase.com/flippinghades/image/22776201

    Those engraved & anodized locks look considerably fanciers though -- most of the locks we saw were just sharpied!
