Salzburg Reducks

We started today with the cable car up Untersberg.  Lots of snow, scenery, and blue skies!  We haven't seen those for a while.  Yesterday was raining so we motored through four museums and a cathedral - hence, no pictures.

After the mountain adventure we hit two more museums (the Salzburg Card, as opposed to the city card offered in Vienna is really paying off.  The Vienna card only gave you 10% discounts and didn't pencil out.  The Salzburg card cost us 35 Euros for 3 days, and we've used over 60 Euros of entrance fees and bus tickets).  Then went for another walk along the city walls.  if you look at the peak in the background of the picture below, just to the right of my head, that's where we started our day.

Man, we SO meant to get these duckies!!  But after finishing our walk, going to two more churches, and having dinner at what is billed as Europe's oldest restaurant (Charlemagne ate here!)....the shops were closed.  And we are off to Prague tomorrow.  Sorry Hope!

  2. also, what the hell is behind you on the mountain? The big black thing? I assume some sort of signage or weird German thing, but since I don't know, I'm going with "dire penguin".
